EILEEN GRAHAM, SPHR
Executive Human Resources Consultant
Eileen has worked in Human Resources in California since 1996 and supports companies as they navigate through California’s unique and often challenging labor laws. She has authored dozens of customized Employee Handbooks, training manuals, policies, and procedures. She has also created and implemented strategic plans including Career Development Plans, Compensation Programs, Employee Performance, and Incentive Plans. She has provided tailored training for dozens of companies during her career, including Sexual Harassment Avoidance, Leadership Training, Managing Legally and Employee Performance. Eileen is also experienced in Workplace Investigations and has investigated claims for several large organizations, including a major airline. She partners with business owners and executives to provide solutions and strategic planning guidance, custom designed for each client’s specific needs and challenges.
Eileen graduated from the University of Kansas with a double major in Education and Psychology and attended the University of Florida for post-graduate studies in Psychology. She began her first career as a teacher but accepted in a job as a Training Manager for a large non-profit organization in the Tampa Bay, FL area. Once she joined the Human Resource profession, she never considered leaving it, other than to go back to college part-time to get some additional legal/compliance knowledge.
Eileen has held the executive HR role for several large companies such as Hasbro Toys, Umpqua Bank, Vacuum Coating Technologies, and EBARA Corporation, and for smaller organizations like SPG Solar and Circle Bank. She has also consulted for Disney World, 14 wineries in CA, several manufacturing companies, transportation organizations, non-profits, and city governments. Working in industries such as Manufacturing, High Tech, Banking, Wine, City Government, Hospitality, For-Profit and Non-Profit, Global and Domestic organizations, has provided Eileen the opportunity to develop skills and to gain experience that crosses over to many unique and specialized areas of HR. All along her journey Eileen has been constantly keeping up with the HR knowledge expertise and with the HR legal landscape, especially during her last 20 years in California.
Eileen is nationally certified as SHRM-SCP and SPHR, Senior Professional HR, and she serves on several Boards including EDD/EAC and NCHRA. Eileen has served as a mentor for many HR professionals throughout her career, as well coaching owners and top executives of many organizations, helping them to navigate safely and legally through the issues that arise in the workplace.
Currently, Eileen is an Executive HR Consultant, providing HR support for organizations throughout California and Washington.
